Ludia France Aston May 19, 1918 February 13, 2011 Ludia France Aston, 92 of Longview, passed away Sunday, February 13, 2011 in Longview, Texas. She was born to the late Harvey J. and Susie J. Jackson Brigman on May 19, 1918 in Maypearl, Texas. Ludia lived most of her life in Ellis County before moving to Longview and the Jefferson area in 1982. Ludia loved working in retail sales. In 1950 Ludia and R.K. opened their first bakery in Waxahachie, she later worked for Italy Dry Goods for six years prior to moving to Longview/Jefferson area. Ludia and her daughter, Pat opened Yesteryear Nick Nacks in Jefferson, Texas in 1983. A few years later bought the Mint Tulip Restaurant and ran it for a few years. Yesteryear is still in business 27 years later. She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Sue (Pat) Smith and her husband, Rick of Longview, Frances K. Whitten and her husband, Archie of Waxahachie; her sons, Ronnie K. Aston and his wife, Trisha of Brady, Donnie R. Aston and his wife, Brenda of Brady; a foster brother, Odis Holbrook of Houston; 3 nieces; 7 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, R.K; brother, Hap Brigman; sister, Faye Childers and one great grandson, Derek Scott. Services to celebrate her life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at the First United Methodist Church of Maypearl with Rev. Marvin Mott officiating. Interment will follow at the Auburn Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home, Waxahachie.
