Loyde Wayne Junkin 68 of Palmer Texas went to be with the lord August 15, 2021, at 1:40 PM. He was born November 12, 1952, to L.B. Junkin and Lois Junkin.

Loyde was a retired Waxahachie Fire Fighter and instructor for TEEX. His passion for the fire service began on his 16th birthday when he joined Forreston Volunteer Fire Department. He has actively served the state of Texas as a Fireman and trainer for the 52 years.

He is preceded in death by his father L.B. Junkin, mother Lois Junkin, stepdad Rayford Achimon, brother Mike Junkin, and sister Ann Junkin.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years Pamela Junkin of Palmer Texas, daughter Mary Black of Forney, Texas, son Robert Junkin and wife Amanda Junkin of Palmer Texas, 5 grandchildren Colby, Aria, Olivia, Nathaniel and Brandon, several nieces and nephews, and his brothers and Sisters in the fire service.
