Loyd Nichols

Loyd E. Nichols, 90 of Waxahachie, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2017 in
Waxahachie. He was born August 21, 1926 in Lone Oak, Texas to the late
Authur and Rosie Johnson Nichols.

Loyd was a Navy veteran and proudly served our Country. He worked in the
upholstery business for over 30 years and retired in 1980. Loyd was a
devoted Christian, always putting God first in his life and setting a good
example for his family, friends and all who knew him. His family was the
light of his life, especially his loving wife Birda, of 70 years.

He is also survived by his daughters, Pansy Danford of Waxahachie, Gina
Seamans and her husband, Walter of Waxahachie; his grandchildren, Lance
Seamans of Waxahachie, Joel Danford of Dallas, Chet Danford and his wife,
Valerie of Waxahachie and Lisha Daniels and her husband, Jason of Oak Leaf;
his great grandchildren, Logan Seamans and Lindsay Seamans of Quinlan,
Hannah Seamans of Waxahachie, Noah Seamans of Waxahachie, Aaron Danford of
Waxahachie, Chase Horton of Waxahachie, Emely Kimmons of Oak Leaf and Ame
Kimmons of Oak Leaf; he is also survived by one great great-granddaughter,
Isabella Guynes of Quinlan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Authur and Rosie Nichols; by his
son-in-law, Kenneth Danford; by his sisters, Irene Coker, Eula Petty, Lois
Coker, Luta Andrews and Ruth Holloway; also by his brothers, L. T. Nichols,
Luther Nichols and Claudy Nichols.

Loyd will be greatly missed and continually loved by all who knew him and
loved him.

A Graveside service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 2, 2017 at
the Gateway Memorial Park Cemetery, Waxahachie with Rev. Terry Keele
Officiating.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.

Those serving as pallbearers include, Walter Seamans, Lance Seamans, Joel
Danford, Chet Danford, Logan Seamans and Jason Daniels.

Those serving as honorary pallbearers include, Noah Seamans, Aaron Danford
and Chase Horton.
