Funeral Services for Louis Stephen Benson ("Steve") Manley will be held at the Red Oak Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Steve passed away on the evening of November 27, 2008.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 2, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Steve is survived by a son, Phillip, of Red Oak, Texas; brother, Clay Manley of Austin.
Steve was born on October 25, 1947 in Atlanta Georgia, and lived most of his life in Texas. Steve proudly served our country in the US Navy during Vietnam, before retiring and working in law enforcement, and as an accomplished private investigator.
Steve was very active in the community and was a Lieutenant Colonel in the Civil Air Patrol, Group III, Texas Wing.
Steve loved his family and was passionate about life. He often told his children "God first, family second, friends, and the rest will fall where it may."
