Louann Reynolds

LouAnn Reynolds of Maypearl, Texas passed away peacefully going home to meet her Lord Jesus Christ on March 4, 2016 at the age of 86. LouAnn was born on February 13, 1930 to Robert (Bob) Phillips and Dinnnie (Kenningham) Phillips in Maypearl Texas, where she lived her entire life. She married Bennie Ray Reynolds, eloping together on April 11, 1948 where they were married at the home of a Baptist Pastor in Weatherford, Texas. Bennie Ray and LouAnn loved each other deeply for 44 years.For many years LouAnn had a beauty shop in her back yard having memorable conversations and laughs with customers and friends. She enjoyed making candy with her family during the Christmas season and hosting 42 parties throughout the year. LouAnn was a lifelong, faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Maypearl where she served in various ministries over the years, including serving snacks to the children at Vacation Bible School. She served as a member of the Maypearl Cemetery Association Board for many years and enjoyed service to her community. Family was important to LouAnn. She spent many years traveling to watch the games of her children and grandchildren and was their largest supporter in the stands. LouAnn loved to travel with friends, from Sunday lunches after church to long trips across the country. LouAnn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bennie Ray Reynolds, and her son Phillip Wray Reynolds. She leaves behind her daughter Beverly Richards and son in law James Richards of Maypearl, daughter in law Claudia Reynolds of Maypearl, granddaughter Robin Clements and husband Ryan Clements of Maypearl, granddaughter Tracy Spear and husband David Spear of Red Oak, grandson Scott Richards and wife Brittany Richards of Red Oak, and granddaughter Kristy Dowd and husband Doug Dowd of Weatherford. Ten great grandchildren blessed the life of LouAnn- Peter, Nick, Cody, Caleb, Courtney, TJ, Molly, Kaden, Isaiah, and Emma. She is also remembered by her best friend from childhood, Emily Allen, of El Paso, as well as many wonderful family members and friends. LouAnn has left a legacy for her family of bravery, love, integrity, and laughter.Visitation will be at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home on Monday, March 7th, from 6:00-8:00pm. Services will be on Tuesday, March 8th at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m.Pallbearers: Ryan Clements, David Spear, Scott Richards, Doug Dowd, Peter Negralle, Nick Clements, and Cody Clements.Honorary Pallbearers: Tommy Mathers, Nor Wade, Aaron Gritzmaker, Lew Crow, Lee Crow, and Len Crow.In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the First Baptist Church Maypearl Helping Hands Ministry (PO Box 158, Maypearl, TX 76064) or the Maypearl Cemetery Association (PO Box 10, Maypearl, TX 76064).Arrangements are under the direction of Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie, Texas. www.waynebozefuneralhome.com
