Lou Segler, 70, of Waxahachie, passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2008, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born on June 22, 1937, in Italy, Texas. After God, her family always came first. Lou loved and enjoyed spending time with her family, including her church family. She was an active member of Farley Street Baptist Church. Lou retired after 28 years from the City of Dallas, Water Department. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy Anthony, and husband, Alan, of Waxahachie; her son, Bobby Segler, of Austin; her sister, Billie Daugaard, of Abilene; her grandchildren, Ann Kiefer and her husband, Brian, of Maypearl, Jennifer Eldridge-Lee of Waxahachie; her great-grandsons, Charlie Lee, Tucker Kiefer, and Cordell Kiefer; and numerous relatives. Lou was preceded in death by her parents, Lionel Smithwick, Lillie and Joe Richardson; and her brother, Joe Smithwick.
Services to celebrate her life are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 24, 2008, at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with the Revs. Richard Smith and Tony Sheffield officiating. Interment will follow at the Lakeview Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 23, 2008, at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
