Mrs. Chapin, passed away Sunday morning at the Claystone Rehabilitation Center in Ennis, Texas. She was born in Stringtowne, Texas on January 16, 1920 to Patrick& Bessie McNeil Mckinney. She was a member of the Southprong Baptist Church and was a very dedicated pianist at her church's in Oklahoma.

Mrs. Chapin is survived by 1 Son: Mark Grantz of Frankston, Texas. 3 Daughters: Neta Granger of Ennis, Texas Irene and Chuck Goocher of Frankston, Texas; Kathy and James Wilcox of Waxahachie, Texas; 1 Sister: Pauline Haygood of Washington; 7 Grandchildren: 10 Great-Grandchildren: She was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Frank Grantz in 1967 and 1 son Alvin Louis Grants.

The family will receive friends and relatives 7-8 PM on Monday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be at 11 AM on Tuesday, April 08, 2003 at the Sardis Cemetery with Rev. James Wilcox and Rev. Cole Phillips officiating.
Memorials may be made to the South Prong Baptist Church Building Fund.
