Lorrie Colston

Lorrie Gene Colston, 62 of Waxahachie, passed away June 29, 2017 at her residence. She was born in 1954 in Waxahachie to Billy W. and Mary Corley Colston.

Lorrie enjoyed family vacations to the Texas coast, visiting caves and mountains in New Mexico, family reunions and times when the family would gather at the old family lake lot on the Waxahachie lake. She also enjoyed road trips through the Texas Hill Country and also driving down an Ellis County backroad with the windows down and playing Led Zeppelin as loud as she could. She loved her two dogs and her Calico cat. She enjoyed helping her kids and grandkids. She always found a way to make sure that they had what they needed even if she didn't have it to give. She will be missed and continually loved by so many.

She is survived by sons, John Terry of Hillsboro, TX, Cody Terry and wife Tabitha of Hillsboro, TX; brothers, Brett Colston and wife Connie of Waxahachie, TX, Ty Colston of Waxahachie, TX; Mother, Mary Gene Colston of Waxahachie, TX; stepmother, Linda Colston of Waxahachie, TX; stepbrother, Scott Wolfe of Maypearl, TX; grandchildren, Garrett, Cohen, Mason, Eli and Analise Terry; nephews, Chad, Todd and Josh Colston; nieces, Cherish Grubbs, Jamie Grimes and Misti Boehler.

She was preceded in death by her father, Billy W. Colston; stepfather, Jerry D. Goodwin; grandparents, Elbert and Virginia Corley; grandparents, R.B. and Montine Colston; and stepbrother, Jimmy Wolfe.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 8, 2017 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
