Lori Jo Bryant

June 21, 1967 — January 3, 2025

Waxahachie

Lori Jo Bryant, passed away under the loving care of her Father God, on January 3rd, 2024. She was born in June of 1967 in Springfield, Massachusetts, but moved to Texas with her family as an infant. Lori grew up serving The Lord and even at the age of three, could be seen raising her little hands in worship as she sung praises to Christ. Her whole life was dedicated to serving others and making friends with those who felt unloved or unseen. From Houston, to Palmer, to Waxahachie, Lori made friends wherever she went. She attended Navarro College and UT Arlington, where she pursued a degree in English, with aspirations of attending law school. However, her heart’s desire was to be a wife and mother, which God fulfilled by marrying her college sweetheart, Lowell Glen Bryant and then having two children: Krista and Jr.

The Lord blessed Lori with a heart to help others, but also to be a hard-worker and amazing support and role model. She did everything from helping with Teen Challenge, to raising sheep on her mother’s land, to teaching Sunday School and Wednesday Night classes, to working as a Communication’s Coordinator and Children’s Coordinator at the Methodist Church. She always said, that one of her greatest accomplishments in Christ, was staying home and teaching her two children about God and homeschooling them from Prek-12th grade.

Lori loved The Lord more than anything and then her family, who she sacrificed for every single day. Everyone who met her, knew Who she believed in and that her love was genuine. She battled health issues for most of her life, but never stopped smiling or thanking God. She loved being a Nana, loved to pray for people, going on outdoor adventures with her family, teaching, attending chapel services at SAGU, playing hand-bells, singing praises to God and just being an example of Christ.

She will be missed with the deepest longing, but also remembered as one of God’s special children, who lived by The Light of Christ.
