Lorenzo Jurado November 24, 1951 July 29, 2011 Lorenzo Jurado, 59, of Red Oak, Texas passed away July 29, 2011. He was born in Acala, Texas on November 24, 1951 to Jose De La Luz Jurado and Ramona McClure Jurado. Lorenzo married his wife Margaret in Fresno, California in September 1970 and was drafted into the Air Force in April 1971. After completing his basic training at Lackland AFB and Tech Training at Chanute AFB in Champagne, Illinois . He began his career as a firefighter at Hickman AFB in Honolulu, Hawaii. After two years he was transfered to Bolling AFB in Washington, DC. After completion of his 4 year stint he went into Civil Service in April 1975 at Maxwell AFB Fire Department in Montgomery, Alabama. There began his deep love for hunting, fishing, skiing with his many fire department co-workers and friends. In December 1989 he transfered to Dallas, Texas where he worked at NASJRR in Grand Prarie until they moved its location to the former Carswell AFB now NASJRB Fort Worth. Lorenzo retired after 30 years in December 2001. He then began doing handyman jobs for his neighbors and family with his best friend Luis Arismendez while continuing fishing throughout Texas lakes with Lou and nephew Javier Molina. Lorenzo had a love of life and never hesitated helping those in need and always tried leaving things better. He loved to bar-b-que, work with his hands, party and dance. He will be missed always. He leaves behind his wife of over 40 years Margaret Ann Gonzalez Jurado and is preceded in death by both parents, parents-in-law Marcelino and Maria de Jesusita Gonzalez, sister, Tomasa Jurado and brother in law Frederick Gonzalez. Lorenzo also leaves behind daughter, Lisa Marie Kelley and son Joseph Marc Jurado; 5 Grandchildren: Ta'Lisa Kelley, Shanise Kelley, Patrick Kelley, Sierra Kelley and Sadie Jurado; one great granddaughter: Azeirheia Bryant; 3 brothers: Alfredo and wife Linda Jurado, Leonard Jurado and Martin Jurado; 2 Sisters: Chavela Lopez and Maria Guadalupe and husband Robert Villalobos, plus many more beloved nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends from the Maxwell AFB Fire Department and the Friends from the Hood in Red Oak.Servcies to celebrate his life are scheduled for 11:00 AM Thursday, August 04, 2011 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Rev. Lazarus DeLatore officiating. Interment will follow at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, August 03, 2011 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
