After 106 years on this earth, Lorene Farmer passed away December 22, 2022. She was born on November 15th 1916 to Claude and Mae Darby in Wells, Texas.
She married her husband Henry Farmer on December 2 , 1934 and had three children, James, Betty and Robert. They moved to Waxahachie Texas to raise their family. Lorene was a seamstress at Stockton manufacturing for 20 years and left to become a homemaker and helped take care of her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and eventually her great-greatgrandchildren.
She was selfless, hardworking, a quiet force, and a pillar of strength for her family and to all she encountered. She loved to cook and feed her loved ones and you never left her house hungry. She was our true matriarch and we are incredibly blessed by all the wonderful years we had to share with her. She was a member of Water Street Baptist Church in Waxahachie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Claudie Mae, sons James and Robert farmer, daughter in law Betty Farmer, son in law Bobby Murray, granddaughter Theresa Kirkland, grandson Jerry Lee Farmer, great-grandsons Chris Harrell, Billy Allen, Ruben Mejorado Jr. and great-great grandson Keith Mcalexander.
She is survived by daughter Betty Murray, daughter-in-law Linda Farmer, grandchildren Cindy and Terry Douthit, Robbin and Paul Butler, Michelle Murray and Dean Splawn, Sherri and Robbie Cunningham, Frankie and Debbie Farmer, and Pam and Steve Gideon. Great-grandchildren Mandi Allen, Jennifer Harrell, Teri Whitson, Amanda Brock, Randy and Andrea Vernon, Johnna and Bryan Wimpee, Bruce Cunningham, Jay and Destinee Farmer, Chet Farmer, Tiffany and Arron Westmoreland, Shawn Vernon, Kristin and Morgan Mears, Jonathan and Elessa Weber, Rebecca Johnson, Aaron Mejorado, and Vince and Alexis Gideon. Great-great grandchildren Max, Ian, Abby, Alex, Shiner, Prescott, Caysen, Brynnlee, Brooks, River, Levi, Brooklyn, Dawsyn, Priscilla, Riley and Jensen.
