Lonis Watson

Lonis Kathleen McCormack Watson, 92 of Hilltop Lakes, Texas passed away Sunday, February 16, 2014 at her home. She was born September 30, 1921 in Bardwell, Texas to Elmer & Ollie Mae Sullivan McCormack and was raised in the Boyd and Rankin Community. She married George E. Watson from Howard, Texas. Lonis worked for many years for Northern Propane in Ennis, Texas as a bookkeeper. After the death of her husband in 1978, she traveled extensively throughout the world. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends and all that knew her and loved her. She is survived by her two daughters: Nancy Ann Elkins of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Sydna Bass of Leona, Texas. Grandson: George Edward Watson of Ennis, Texas, Granddaughter: Suann Morre of Fayetteville, Arkansas; Great Grand Daughters: Cortney Owens of Houston, Texas and Katie Lynn Watson of Ennis, Texas; Great Grandson: Geno E. Allen of Paris, Texas; Nephews: Bill Sam McCormack of Oklahoma, Charles E. McCormack of Waxahachie and Michael Douglas Redden of Throckmorton, Texas and Nieces: Carol McDonald of Santa Fe, New Mexico, and Ann Redden Tate of Greenville, Texas; She was preceded in death by her mother and father: Elmer and Ollie Mae McCormack; Brother: Samuel McCormack, Sister: Marie Redden, her husband G.E. Watson and 1 son: George E. Watson in 1980. Services to celebrate her life are scheduled for 11:00 AM Thursday, February 20, 2014, graveside at the Hillcrest Burial Park in Waxahachie with Will Odom and John L. Sullivan officiating. Visitation with the family will be held from 10:00 AM Thursday until 10:45 AM at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations be made to the Normangee Church of Christ in Normangee, Texas.
