Lloyd J. "Shorty" Campbell

Lloyd J. "Shorty" Campbell was born November 28, 1925 in El Dorado, KS. to the late Ernest and Mary Campbell. He passed away after a month long illness on November 23, 2008. He went to the Navy during WWII, where he served on an LST in the Pacific Theatre. After that he went to work for Mobil Pipeline, where he retired 37 years later. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert and his son, Randy.

Mr. Campbell is survived by: his wife of 61 years, Pat Campbell; brother, Bill and wife Evelyne Campbell; daughters, Kathy and husband Richard Brown, Lisa and husband Christopher; grandchildren, Randy Brown, Melissa Gordon, Mikey Wright, Jenny Wright, and Patty and husband Chris Bagwell; great grandsons, Riley and Logan Bagwell.

The family will receive friends and relatives 6-8 PM Wednesday at the Red Oak Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be 2 PM Friday at the Red Oak Funeral Home with interment Saturday, November 29, 2008 at noon at the Garden of Memories, Sweetwater, TX.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Red Oak Funeral Home.
