Liza Jane Strickland, age 55 of Waxahachie, Texas, passed away February 16, 2024. She was born October 10, 1968, to Charles and Peggy Strickland in Roanoke, Alabama.
As a nurse, she enjoyed helping others even after retiring. She was a proud Alabama football fall, Roll Tide. She was proud of her recovery and had celebrated 13 years of sobriety on December 10th of 2023. She touched many lives throughout her recovery journey.
She is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Peggy Strickland.
She is survived by her beloved Doberman, Gunner Bear, the bestest dog in all the land; Sisters: Nikki Adams and Jennifer Hill; brothers: Jeff Hightower and Christopher Strickland; and daughter Calli DeCorte.
