Linda Gail Wells, 59 of Waxahachie, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2009 in Waxahachie. She was born to the late Walter L. & Onie B. Rogers Trammell on February 12, 1950 in Waxahachie.
Linda graduated from Waxahachie High School in 1969. She worked for Continental-CNA Insurance for 35 years in Dallas and worked for the Ellis County Insurance Agency for 5 years in Waxahachie as an account manager. Linda was a faithful member of the South Prong Baptist Church where you could always find her working. She loved her church family and everyone loved her. She loved singing in the quartet and she made sure that every visitor to the church was made to feel very welcome. No one could escape her loving hugs and she made everyone feel like they were home when attending South Prong. Linda was a devoted Christian and loved her Lord with all of her heart. She will be missed by so many who knew her and loved her.
She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Bobby Wells; her daughter, Misty Wells; and her granddaughter, Brittany Wells, all of Waxahachie; she is also survived by her brothers, Ray Trammell and his wife, Anne of Marquez, Texas, and Winford Trammell and his wife, Ruth of Burleson, Texas; her 5 sisters, Etta Mae McBride of Forreston, Imogene Conder of Waxahachie, Faye Browning and her husband, Edward of Cedar Hill, Mary Choate of Manor, and Melba O'Daniel and her husband, Ernest of Midlothian; her brother-in-law, H. L. Huddleston of Waxahachie; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and many loving friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Onie Trammell; and by her sister, Beatrice Huddleston.
Services to celebrate her life are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Dr. Leroy Fenton officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery under the direction of Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
