Ms. Haynes passed away peacefully early Sunday morning while in the company of her family. Ms. Haynes was born in Ennis, Texas, the daughter of Lawrence and Doris (Fincher) Smith. She was a 1965 graduate of Wilmer-Hutchins High School where she was a Cheerleader. She played amateur soccer for numerous teams for twenty four years. Linda was employed as a Senior Client Manager with Wills of Dallas for 16 years until her death.
Surviving her are: daughter, Tracy Hartzel and her significant other Tom Jones of Waxahachie; son, Ben Haynes and his wife Angela; father, Lawrence Smith of Ennis; sisters, Karen Shue and her husband David of Red Oak, Cynthia Castillo of Ennis; brothers, Don Garrett and his wife Diane of Ennis, Robert Norie and his wife April of Pleasant Grove; grandchildren, Dustin Hartzel of Dallas, Ayla and Trenton Haynes of Arlington. She was preceded in death by her mother.
The family will receive friends and relatives Wednesday7-9 PM at
the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will
be 3 PM Thursday, March 29, 2007 in the Pat Boze Memorial
Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Bruce Zimmerman officiating.
The family requests that memorials be made to the Lance Armstrong Foundation.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Wayne Boze
Funeral Home.
