Linda Fincher

Linda Gail "Gramms" Fincher, 67 of Waxahachie, passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2014 in Waxahachie. She was born on May 6, 1947 in Waxahachie to Billy R. Kennedy and Barbara J. Anderson Kennedy. Gramms enjoyed sewing, cooking, singing and reading, having a very large library. You always knew where you stood with Gramms and she never mixed words. She loved her family and spending time with them, especially her adored grandchildren. She will be missed, forever loved and never forgotten. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, James O. Fincher of Waxahachie; her mother, Barbara Joyce Kennedy of New Orleans; her sons, James Gregory Fincher of Italy, Mark Fincher of Arvado, CO and Matthew Fincher and his wife, Amy of Waxahachie; her step daughters, Anita Tanton and her husband Paul of Lancaster, Donna Aud and her husband, David of Red Oak; her sister, Kathryn Bush of Irving; her brother, William Edward Kennedy and his wife, Tara of New Orleans; her grandchildren, Joshua Tanton, Charla Augilar, Aaron Aud, Sarah Aud, Tiffany Fincher, Rebecca Fincher, Hannah Fincher, Jacob Fincher, Tanner Fincher, Aaron Israel, Cameron Miles, Haylee Fincher, Lauren Banich; 12 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her father, Billy Rue Kennedy. Services to celebrate her life are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 10, 2014 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Joe Fincher officiating. Interment will follow at the Waxahachie City Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 9, 2014 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home. Those serving as pallbearers include, Mark Fincher, Matt Fincher, Greg Fincher, Jacob Fincher, Tanner Fincher and Cameron Miles.
