Lillian Mcpherson

Lillian May Zook McPherson, 91, passed away on January 16, 2013 after a long illness. She was born on May 8, 1921 in Milford, Utah to Rev. R. D. Zook & Adelaide (Burke) Zook. The viewing will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2013 from 6-8 pm at Wayne Boze Funeral Home. Services are scheduled for Sunday, January 20, 2013 at 2:00 pm in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie, TX. She spent years of her life playing the piano for her father's revivals and for various churches. She then met the love of her life, Orville F. McPherson. They married on November 18, 1942 in Fruita, CO. after 6 years & two children, they moved to Waxahachie, TX and the family grew by three more. Lillian taught piano for years, then went to work for LTV/Vought Aircraft in 1967. She retired in 1984 and moved to Perryville, AR. in 1997 they moved to Granbury, TX. She was a member of faith A.O.G. in Granbury until Orville passed away. She then moved back to Waxahachie. While living in Waxahachie their home and their hearts were always open to those in need. The family grew larger as many of them lived in their home and she became known as "Muna, Memac, Auntie, Grandma, "Lil" and E. Z.She was also known to many as the "cake lady". She loved to make & decorate cakes for showers, weddings, birthdays & retirements.She loved life, people, & being able to teach others about the lord. Never preaching, but living by example. She loved the lord & he was always #1 in her life. She had an awesome sense of humor and was never judgmental. Pallbearers will be Todd & Trent Barrow, Jimmy Zook, Ethyn & Richard Martin, & Steven Dean. She is survived by her sons Glen McPherson & wife Charlene, Roy McPherson, Dale McPherson & wife alba, daughter Davene, Tanksley & husband Eddie.Also 11 grandchildren Todd & Trent Barrow, Billy & Dan McPherson, Stacy Martin, Mysti Boehler, Jamie Grimes, & Lilyana McPherson, Meghan & Luis Yoyotte, Melani Helms, a great-grandmother to Audrey, Ireland, Hailey, Hannah, Josh, Noah, Ethyn, Cortlyn, Justin, Jeremy, Aiden & Brooklyn; she is also survived by her cat, Evie. She was preceded in death by her husband Orville F. McPherson, daughter Sharon Barrow, a brother Paul Zook & a granddaughter Lori Casey.www.waynebozefuneralhome.com
