Lillian Booher

Lillian Lela Martine Booher, 95, passed away on January 2, 2015 in Dallas. Lillian was born on April 3, 1919 in Orange, Texas to James Freeman and Lela Martine. She is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 68 years, George Thermon Booher; brothers, James and Rex Martine; and step sister, Pauline Booher. Lillian worked and managed in the garment industry for many years for companies such as Haggar Slacks, Lee Blue Jeans, etc. She had a passion for gardening and loved her family, friends, and the Lord. Lillian delighted in her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lillian is survived by her daughter, Gloria Booher McCown McNutt and husband, Walter L.; granddaughter, Kelley Huebner and husband, Jeffrey; grandson, Scott McCown and wife, Heather; 2 great granddaughters, Lillian Huebner and Kate McCown; her loving caregiver and family friend, Charles Nations; and numerous nephews and nieces. A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at 2 pm at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home, 1826 W. Hwy 287 Business, Waxahachie, TX 75165. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Burial Park. Visitation with family and friends will be held on Monday from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. The family expresses a heartfelt appreciation to Mrs. Booher's longtime friend and caregiver, Charles Nations.
