Letha Lois Farrar, age 87

Mrs. Farrar passed away Saturday at Baylor Medical Center Waxahachie. She was born in Ferris, TX. to E. E. (Dick) and Edna (Witherspoon)Dunn. She was educated in Ferris and graduated in 1934. She was married to J. R. Farrar on June 16, 1940 At Ferris Church of Christ and lived in Waxahachie since. Letha was a long time active member of Waxahachie First Christian Church and taught Sunday School for years in the Primary Department. She was an active member in the Waxahachie High School Band Parents Club, a former member of the Mother's Club, American Business Women's Association and an active member of Texas Association of Hospital Auxiliaries at Baylor Medical Center, Waxahachie. Letha was employed at Waxahachie Bank and Trust for twenty five years before retiring in 1985.

Letha is survived by: one son, James R. (Bobby) Farrar of Austin; special niece and her husband, Sylvia and Al Hawes of Kemp; sister Maureen Cobb of Kemp; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by beloved husband, J. R. in 1986; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Dunn; two brothers, E W and Kenneth Dunn and one sister, Juanita.

The family will receive friends and relatives 6-8 PM Tuesday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be 10 AM Wednesday, January 28, 2004 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of the funeral home. Pallbearers will be G. T. Morton, Dan Ed Morton, Al Hawes, Chris Gilchrest, Bryan Bingham and Jim Hawes. Letha will be buried beside her loving husband of forty six years at Bells Chapel Cemetery near Rockett.
