Lester Hill

Lester Vernon Hill, 86 of Waxahachie, Texas passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2014 in Dallas, Texas. He was born April 21, 1927 in Joshua, Texas to the late Walter and Maggie Mae Davis Hill. Lester served in the U S Army during WWII, after the military he was employed for many years in the Automotive Industry and later owned and operated Hill Auto Parts in Dallas. Lester retired many years ago due to health problems. He was also a member of the Farley Street Baptist Church in Waxahachie. He will be dearly missed by his family and everyone who knew him and loved him. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Maudine Hill; 2 sons: Jerry and David Hill; Grandchildren: Anthony & Laurie Hill, Jason & Lacey Hill, Brandi & Beau Williams, Wendi & Owen Pontley, Jennifer & Joe Adamson, Michelle Hinkle; 10 Great Grandchildren: He was preceded in death by his parents, Brothers: Wayland Hill, Dennis Hill, Herman Hill and 1 sister: Inez Shiflet. Services to celebrate his life are scheduled for 10:00 AM Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at the Farley Street Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Smith officiating. Interment will follow at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas. Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday, March 24, 2014 at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
