Leona Mullins

Leona "Dolly" Mullins, 82, a resident of Alvarado went home to be with her Lord and Savior on August 27, 2010. She was born on May 5, 1928 in Collinsville, Texas to Roy and Bonnie Todd. She was raised and went to school in Collinsville until she married her husband, Holman on May 31, 1947. She was a member of the Cowboy Ranch House of Maypearl, Texas. She was a dedicated wife and a loving mother, grand-mother, great grand-mother, and great-great grand-mother. Her life revolved around her family. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Holman Mullins of Alvarado; sons, Dennis Mullins and his wife Betty of Alvarado, Lynn Mullins and his wife Velinda of Alvarado, and Steve Mullins and his wife Sandy of Kingston, OK. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and eight great great grandchildren; a sister Nan Bass of Grand Prairie; and a niece Pamela Coles of California; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers. The Celebration of Life Service is planned for Monday, August 30, 2010 at 11 AM at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. Visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday, August 29, 2010 at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Mt. Peak Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
