Leola Burton

Leola Jean Burton 62 of Waxahachie, Texas passed away Friday January 6, 2017 at the Weatherford Regional Hospital in Weatherford, Texas. Leola was born on March 30, 1954 in Glover Oklahoma to the late John Albert and Wylma Jean Barker. She was a loving and devoted wife of 45 years and mother. She will be dearly missed by her family and all that knew her and loved her.

Leola was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jackie Burton of forty-five years her brother Ricky Thomas Gebhart and her sister Earlene Pettibone.

Leola is survived by one daughter Loretta Jean and her husband Timothy Scott Avery of Weatherford, Texas, two sons Donald Eugene and wife Jean Marie Burton of Red Oak, Jackie Lynn and wife Amy Burton Jr. of Conway, Arkansas; her brother Clyde Burton Dickerson and wife Rachael of De Queen, Arkansas; sisters, Patricia Ann Bradley and husband Thomas of Tioga, Texas, Marjorie Lee Joy of Gainesville, Texas and Ethel Marie Miranda of Gainesville, Texas. Grandchildren: PJ Thompson, Michael Avery, Crystal Ramsey, Dustin Avery, Joseph Jenkins, Kandice Abrego, Jonathan Burton, Brian Burton, Matthew Burton, Cole Ennis and Carter Ennis; 16 great Grandchildren, a host of honorary grandchildren and a special honorary grandchild Stephanie Hodges.

Graveside services to celebrate her life is scheduled for 2:00 PM Thursday, January 12, 2017 at the Red Oak Cemetery in Red Oak, Texas.

Visitation with the family is scheduled for Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie, Texas.
