Leo Garcia, 64, passed away November 24, 2015 in Hilo, Hawaii after a lengthy illness. He was born May 23, 1951 in Rio Grande City, Texas. Leo attended Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic School and McAllen High School. He was the owner and operator of a roofing company for over 25 years, which was well known and respected in the community and around the DFW area. Leo had recently become an avid gardener and loved making his own spicy pickles. He loved his family and friends and was well known for keeping in close contact. By the grace of God and the fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous Leo enjoyed sobriety since December 19, 1984. By sharing his experience, strength, and hope with others, he has touched untold numbers of lives. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Garcia of Oak Leaf, TX; his sons, Jesse Garcia of Austin, TX and Nicholas Garcia of Vancouver, Washington; his mother, Beatriz Garcia of McAllen, TX; his sister, Laura Catalani and her husband, Frank of Kerrville, TX; his brothers, Louis Garcia and his wife, Janet of Boerne, TX and Leonard Garcia and his wife, BJ of Austin, TX; along with many nieces and nephews.A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 5, 2015 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home, Waxahachie with Rev.
