Lee Shaw

Lee Thomas Shaw, 78 of Avalon, passed away Friday, May 30, 2014 at his residence. He was born to the late James T. Shaw and Rosa Giebler Shaw on June 9, 1935 in Rankin, Texas. Lee served on the Avalon Water Board and was a former Fire Chief of Avalon. He enjoyed playing his bass guitar and spending time with his family. He was a loving and giving uncle and friend and will truly be missed. He is survived by his nephews, James "Jimbob" Walters and his wife, Mary Ann of Huntsville, AL, John David "JD" Walters and his wife, Cindi of Venus, Joe Travis Walters of Perrin, Texas and Jason Walters and his wife, Tina of Lacy Spring, AL; he is also survived by numerous great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, James T. and Rosa Giebler Shaw; and also by his sister, Mary Nell "Sally" Walters. Services to celebrate his life are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 6, 2014 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Bro. David C. Wilkerson officiating. Interment will follow at Hughes Cemetery in Avalon. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
