Leddie Mcdonnell

Leddie McDonnell, 52 of Waxahachie, passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 1, 1962 in Waxahachie. Leddie worked at Maypearl ISD and Venus ISD. She enjoyed working with children and considered this work her "calling" in life. When she wasn't working, she enjoyed traveling and was always looking forward to the next great adventure. She is survived by her husband, Jim McDonnell and family; her parents, Eddie and LaNita Vaughn; her children, Lyndie Medford and her husband, Mike and her granddaughter, Merrit Mae; also by her children, Miranda Wells and her husband, Rusty, and Speer Lackey; her sisters, Loetta Vaughn and Carol Wald, Lisa Yates and family, Rob, Chance and Chazlynn; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family and family of choice. Services to celebrate her life are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 6, 2014 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Bro. James Beam officiating. Interment will follow at the Auburn Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, December 5, 2014 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Leddie McDonnell Library Memorial Fund, Venus ISD.
