Larry Browning, 61 of Allen, passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at a Dallas Hospital. He was born to the late Edward Q. Browning and Merle McAlpin Browning on June 18, 1950 in Waxahachie. Larry loved Waxahachie and often referred to it as "God's Country." He enjoyed the simple things in life and loved fishing, the Texas Rangers and the Dallas Cowboys. Larry retired from the postal service in 2007 after 30 plus years as a postman in Allen. He was very proud to receive his Sterilization Certification in 2010 and working at Parkland Hospital in Dallas. Most of all, Larry loved his family and spending time with them. He will be dearly missed by so many. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Nita Browning of Allen; his sons, Neil Browning of Mesquite, Daniel Browning of Greenville, Samuel Browning of Allen; his sister, Kathy Vermillion and her husband, Larry of Waxahachie; his nephews, Stephen Vermillion and his wife, Maria of Waxahachie, Jerod Rollins and his wife, Christina of Austin, and Brian Wallis of Van Alstine; his niece, Tara Meza and her husband, John of Anna; his brother-in-law, Tommy Wallis of West Minster, Texas; his sister-in-law, Nancy Rollins and her husband, Bo of Anna; his uncle, Gene McAlpin of Midlothian; and his grandchild, Jensen Browning of Mesquite. He was preceded in death by his parents; by his brother, Tim Browning; also by his mother and father-in-law, Edith Shirley Wallis and Wilbur Wallis. Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 14, 2012 at the Waxahachie City Cemetery with Rev. Kevin Wilson officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, April 13, 2012 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home, Waxahachie. www.waynebozefuneralhome.com
