LaWanna Wright Graf passed away from this earth on July 21, 2007. She was born to parents James Wade Wright and Marilyn Naomi Ratliff on November 11, 1952 in Waxahachie, Texas.

She attended high school in Avalon, Texas then continued her education at Texas Women's University in Denton, Texas where she graduated with a BS in nursing in 1975.

She started working at the Baylor Hospital in Waxahachie immediately after graduation and continued to nurse for 32 years.

She is preceded in death by her father, James Wade Wright and niece Emma Faith Bundick. LaWanna is survived by one son Christopher Lamar Graf and wife Michele of Maypearl, Texas; one daughter, Jennifer Lynn Graf of Maypearl, mother Marilyn Ratliff of Pflugerville; sister Amy Lynn Bundick and husband Keith Bundick of Pflugerville; brothers James Wade Wright Jr. and Billy Michael Wright and wife Vicki of Waxahachie; grandson Heath Lamar Graf and numerous other relatives and a ton of friends.

Family will receive friends and relatives from 6 to 8 PM Monday evening, July 23, 2007 at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. Celebration of Life will be 10 AM Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at the First Baptist Church, Maypearl, Texas with Dr. Todd Aspergen officiating. Interment will follow at the Oak Branch Cemetery, Maypearl..

Pallbearers will be: David Graf, Steven Michael Evans, Dr. Chase Owens, Dr. David Dominguez, John Goodman, and Sammy Wilson. Honorary Pallbearers: Hosea Cleveland, Eric Herrel and Tyler Derryberry.

The family request that memorials be made to the LaWanna Graf Scholarship Fund at P. O. Box 432 Maypearl, Texas 76064.
