Lavon Humphries

Lavon Duke Humphries, age 81, passed away January 06, 2016 in Arlington, Texas. She was born in Ellis County on January 18, 1935 to Acie Nathaniel and Lillie Williams. Lavon loved to sew, read and dance. She was a member of the Eastern Star and of Beta Sigma Phi sorority.
She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Charles Humphries; Daughter: Tess & husband Craig Dellio of Plano and Toronto; and daughter Rhonda & her husband Paul Miller of Plano, Texas; daughter in law: LaNita & her husband Mark LaFon of Lubbock, Texas and son in law: Larry Humphries of Waxahachie; 7 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren; 1 brother: James Williams of Azle, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years James Duke and her parents, one brother and seven sisters.

Services to celebrate her life are scheduled for Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Rev. Ted Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Bells Chapel Cemetery in Rockett, Texas. Visitation with the family will be held from 12:00 to 2:00 PM on Wednesday prior to the service in the chapel.

Family wished donations to be made to the ASPCA or any other reputable Pet Rescue Groups.
