Lavanda Sue Sherrell June 20, 1937 October 2, 2010 Sue Sherrell, 73 of Red Oak, passed away Saturday, October 2, 2010 at her residence. She was born to the late John and Jewel Clark Thompson on June 20, 1937 in Grand Saline, Texas . Sue loved her family and spending time with them, especially her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed a nice cold Dr. Pepper, gardening, yard work and being outside. Sue loved to laugh and she will be missed by so many who will forever remember her. She is survived by her sons, Terry Sherrell and his wife, Brenda of Royce City, Ricky Sherrell of Red Oak; her daughters, Tammy Burden and her husband, John of Celina, Rhonda Sherrell and her husband, Don of Palmer; her sister, Betty Moser of Lubbock; her brothers, Alton Thompson and his wife, Patsy, and Eugene Thompson; she is also survived by her grandchildren: Jamie Sherrell, Colby Sherrell, Brandon Burden, Melissa Garcia, Danny Grubbs, Jr., Lacey Corey, Brittany Jordan, Blake Burden; her great grandchildren, Andy Burden, Gage Corey, Christian Burden, Kennedy Corey, Caden Fletcher, Kennen Corey, Laney Sherrell, Noah Sherrell, Caleb Sherrell, Morgan Sherrell, and Brooke Sherrell. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Roy Thompson, Ronald Thompson, and Kenneth Thompson; and her sister, June Giles. Services to celebrate her life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home, Waxahachie. Interment will follow at Ferris Memorial Park Cemetery, Ferris , Texas .
