Laura Anne Slattery passed away Tuesday at the Baylor Medical Center, Waxahachie. She was born in Santa Monica, CA. to Donald King and Mary Anita (Dunaway) Crockett. Laura was an administrative assistant for a law firm. She was very active in the Kaufman County and Mesquite SPCA. She loved animals and enjoyed singing to make other folks happy.

Laura's survivors include: her parents, Donald K. Crockett and Mary Dunaway Crockett of Brighton, CO.; son, Mark Benjamin Slattery of Dallas; her loving companion, Kevin Ogletree of Waxahachie; brothers, Michael Alan Crockett of Dallas and Richard William Crockett of New Braunfels, TX.; sister, Donna Ruth Sanders of Brighton, CO.; nephews, Tyler Lesmann of Brighton, CO., Michael A. C. Willis of Dallas and Corbin Yuri Crockett of New Braunfels; and great niece, Kaitlyn Nicole Willis of Dallas.

The family will receive friends and relatives 5-7 PM Friday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of her Life will be 10 AM Saturday, December 10, 2005 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Kevin Ogletree, Michael Crockett, Richard Crockett, Dan Derdeyn, John Washington and Scott Brooks. Interment will follow in the Bethel Cemetery.
