Laura Lynn "Mimi" Gonzales, 66 of Waxahachie, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2008 in a Dallas hospital. She was born to the late John Weeks & Louise Babb Odom on March 2, 1942.
Mimi's passion was her grandchildren. She loved to help her family and go out to eat with friends. She enjoyed playing Bingo and reading. She will be missed by so many who knew her and loved her.
She is survived by her sons, Joe Gonzales, III and wife, Teresa of Houston, Roy Gonzales of Houston; her daughters, Lynda Keith and her husband, Matt of Houston, Kathie Lorfing and her husband, James of Waxahachie, Teresa Hovarth of Bullhead City, NV; her brother, Roy Gail McCraney and his wife, Patty of Castaic, CA; her beloved grandchildren, Kasy Wilson, Chip Lorfing, Kyle, Mattie, and Jo Jo Keith, Roy McCraney, and Faith Marie Hovarth; 2 nieces, Kelly and Kim McCraney; and a special friend, Stacy Wilson.
Graveside services will be held at 12 Noon on Thursday, July 17, 2008 at the Waxahachie City Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 17, 2008 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
