Laura Linda Boze Morton Wilson, age 79, of Barbados, passed away on January 15, 2025, surrounded by the love of her husband Patrick. 

Laura Linda was born on March 24, 1945, in Mineral Wells , Texas, to Patrick Wayne Boze and Jessie Beryl Chisholm Boze. She grew up in Waxahachie and was a proud graduate of Waxahachie High School. She went on to attend Baylor University. Her lifelong dedication to the care of others was evident in her extensive career as a nurse, which spanned several hospitals, nursing homes, and home healthcare companies. Her work as a Nurse was a testament to her compassion, commitment, and expertise. 

Laura Linda’s faith played a significant role in her life, and she was a member of the Methodist Church. She was known for her loving and generous nature, always putting the needs of others before her own. Whether caring for her family, friends, or patients, Laura Linda’s life was one of service to others. 

Beyond her nursing career, Laura Linda had many passions. She was a talented seamstress, an exceptional cook, and had a love for the ocean. Laura had a wonderful sense of humor and was known for her infectious laughter and love of a good joke. Her family and friends will always remember her for the joy she brought into their lives. 

Laura Linda is survived by her husband of 18 years, Patrick Wilson of Barbados; She is also survived by her son Dan Morton Jr. (Gwenean); daughter Heidi Morton-Pigg (Von); stepdaughter Emily McLennon-Wilson; grandson Luke Morton; granddaughters Rylie Priebe (Max), Abbie Morton, Macie Morton, and Shelby Smith; and her sister Nancy Boze of Waxahachie. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members who will all miss her dearly.

Laura was preceded in death by her son, Robert "Roby" William Morton; her parents, Pat and Jessie Boze; her sister Bettie Roark; and her brother Wayne Boze.

 A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 9, 2025 from 1 to 2 in the afternoon at Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie, Tx. A service to celebrate Laura Linda’s life will follow at 2 in the afternoon. 

Laura Linda’s legacy of love, humor, and service will continue to inspire all who knew her. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten. 

Rest in peace, Laura Linda. Your laughter, warmth, and kindness will live on in the hearts of those you touched.
