Larry Yorek

Larry Thomas Yorek, our dad, was born to the late J. T. and Dorothy "Dottie" Yorek on July 6, 1946 in Ft. Worth. He left us to be with the Lord on March 17, 2011. Larry is survived by his children, Christopher Yorek, Sloan Danielle Yorek, Heather Michelle Yorek, and Tegan Joseph Yorek; grandchildren, Ethan Yorek, Ava Grace Van Rite, Bailey Yorek, Riley Yorek, and Charlie Yorek; his brothers Danny Yorek, Robert Yorek, Mike Yorek; and his sisters, Joy Cook and Carrie Zimmerman. Daddy loved to go to the Brazos River in his fast ski boat; he loved the oil & gas industry, automobile industry and motocross. He was a loving man that never met a stranger. He loved to tell stories to friends and family about his firefighting days, oil rig days, motocross days, and all his boating adventures. His spirit lives on in all of us kids and grandkids. We each had our own special relationships with him and will treasure his life, legacy and memory always. With much love and sadness we regret his passing but honor his life and will miss him greatly. Services to celebrate his life are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Waxahachie City Cemetery.
