Larry Carl Vaughan, 62 of Itasca, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at Baylor Medical Center Hospital in Waxahachie. He was born to Carl B. and Jane Bratcher Vaughan on November 27, 1946 in Waxahachie.
Larry loved to fish, ride motorcycles and water ski. He worked for Gerdau Ameristeel as a Production Manager for 34 years. Larry loved animals, especially his chiwawa. He also loved people and made so many friends along the way that will forever miss him and love him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Vaughan of Itasca; his sons, Steve Vaughan and his wife, Holly of Itasca, Paul Vaughan of Cleburne; his mother, Jane Bratcher Vaughan of Waxahachie; sister, Linda Robbins of Tampa, FL; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Kathy and Billy Lynch of Itasca; his sister-in-law, Karen Boyd and her husband Dennis of Itasca; 3 grandchildren, Bailey, Garrett, and Blaine Vaughan.
He was preceded in death by his father, Carl B. Vaughan.
Services to celebrate his life are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 5, 2009 at Farley Street Baptist Church, 1116 Brown Street, Waxahachie, with Bro. Richard Smith officiating. Interment will follow at the Waxahachie City Cemetery under the direction of Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 4, 2009 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
