Larry Reid Stevens, 61 of Waxahachie passed away Monday April 01, 2013 in Waxahachie. He was born on March 19, 1952 in Anderson, Indiana to the late Marion and Frances Buck Stevens. Larry served in the U. S. Army during Desert Storm and two tours in Germany; he retired from the Army as a Master Sargent after twenty two years of service. He was a longtime member of the VFW and a member of the Southwind Church in Midlothian, Texas, Larry had a great since of humor and extremely talented with sarcasm, he enjoyed drinking coffee at the Waffle House and loved their monthly family eatings. Larry loved his son Aaron with all his heart and soul. He will be missed by his family and everyone who knew him and loved him. He is survived by 2 sons: Aaron Matthew Stevens, Jason Scott Stevens; Daughter: Jessica Leah Morea and Step Daughter: Christy Rogers; Best friend and Brother: Gary Michael and wife Laurie Stevens. 1 Sister: Karen Nadine Miller; 1 Aunt Greta Planck; numerous nieces and nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother Keith Dewayne Stevens and his parents. Services to celebrate his life are scheduled for 10:00 AM Monday, April 08, 2013 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Sheffield officiating. Interment will follow at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday, April 07, 2013 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
