Larry Pope

Larry Allen Pope, age 77, passed away peacefully at Baylor Scott & White Hospital on Sept. 4, 2019 in Waxahachie, Texas.

Larry was born on Feb 12, 1942 in Dallas, Tx.  He and his wife Linda were married for 58 years. They had resided in Waxahachie, Tx  for 55 years where they had raised their two children.Larry had been self employed for most of his life with a grocery & laundry mat business. His greatest joy were his grandchildren & rescue dogs. Larry was also a member of The Avenue Church.

He was preceded in death by his brother Dickie Pope &  his father R.A. Pope.

He is survived by his wife Linda of 58 years. His daughter Tammy Palomo (Bernard), his son Allen Pope (Eva), 4 granddaughters, McKenzie Shoemaker (Justin), Kristen Pope, Kendall Pope, & Madi Allemier, 1 great-granddaughter, Harlow, & 1 great-grandson, Crew (due in November).His mother, Christine Pope, 1 sister Peggy Rosser (Bill), several nephews & extended family.

Friends and family are encouraged to gather for a time of visitation on Saturday, September 7, 2019 from 1 to 3 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home. Services celebrating Larry’s life will be held at 3:30 in the afternoon in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
