Larry Gene Hosea, 50 of Waxahachie, passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2009 in a Dallas hospital. He was born to the late George N. and Pearlie Allen Hosea on October 27, 1958 in Pasadena, Texas.
Larry enjoyed cooking BBQ and spending time with his family. He loved telling jokes and teasing everyone, especially his nieces. He was a member of the Waxahachie Bible Church. Larry loved to collect eagles and enjoyed being a volunteer fireman.
He is survived by his loving wife, Deann Hosea of Waxahachie; his sons, Aaron Lawrence of Schuyler, NE, Christopher Lawrence of Waxahachie, David Segura of Waxahachie; his sister, Regina Green and her husband, Robert of Conroe; his nieces, Vicki Thornton and her husband, Richie of Splendora, Brandee Shropshire and her husband, Jason of Splendora, April Hackler of Paris; his nephew, Robert Hamm of Venus; his father-in-law, Michael Lawrence of Schuyler; his sisters-in-law, Michele Hackler and her husband, Ricky of Venus, Anita Gomez and her husband, Lico of Guatamala; and great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and by his mother-in-law, Carol Lawrence.
Services to celebrate his life are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 23, 2009 at the Waxahachie Bible Church with Rev. Bruce Zimmerman officiating. Interment will follow at Red Oak Cemetery.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, February 22, 2009 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
