Lance Wayne Brady, 61, of Waxahachie Texas, passed peacefully, Monday, November 29, 2021, holding his wife’s hand, at their home in Waxahachie.
Lance was born in Dallas, Texas on October 12, 1960. He was the youngest of Viola and Jack Brady’s seven children. Lance lived his entire life in Waxahachie. He was a member of the Waxahachie High School Class of 1979. Lance was a member of Farley Street Baptist Church.
Lance met Shirley Bills in high school; they married September 7, 1984. In October of 1986 Lance and Shirley were blessed with a daughter. Ami Jo was the apple of her Daddy’s eye, his pride and joy. August 13, 2020, Lance married his best friend, Cheryl Owens. As the sun was setting, barefoot on the beach, in Clearwater Florida they began their life together.
Lance had a kind, sweet, heart, and a gentle spirit. He loved his family, family gatherings, working in his yard, listening to music, and going to concerts. He was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan!
Before starting his career in aviation as a wiring technician, Lance worked at Brady Bees & Honey. Lance had a passion for helicopters and loved working at Heritage Aviation, Ltd. (previously Premier Aviation).
Lance was preceded in death by his parents Viola Aday Fuller and Jack Brady; Aunt JoAnn Aday Collier and Uncle C.O. Collier, with whom he spent much of his time; father-in-law, Ronald Garey; nephews Jeff Redmon, Tanner Brady, and Tyler Brady.
He was survived by his wife, Cheryl Lane Brady; daughter, Ami Jo Burrow (David) of Red Oak; brothers and sisters, Robert Brady (Lisa) of Dripping Springs, Jackie Griffin (John), Mark Brady (Peggy), Vicki Brady, Linda Gorman, Ricky Brady (Becky), all of Waxahachie; the Bill’s family: Carolyn Brown-Bills, Susie Macon (Robert), Jana Smith (Steve), Shirley Brady, all of Waxahachie; father-in-law, Burton Lane of Newark, Ohio; mother-in-law, Della Garey of Cleburne; sister/brother-in-law, Diana Miller (Ronald), Marsha Eckman (Jerry) both of Newark, Ohio; Robert Garey (Kim) of Midlothian, James Garey (Tracy) of Cleburne and Donald Garey (Julia) of Fort Worth. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.
