Kimsy Boyd Coffman, 85, of Waxahachie, TX went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, May 6, 2016. He was born to Kimsy Lecoy Coffman and Icicy Clayton Coffman on April 5, 1931 in Brooken, Oklahoma. Kimsy served in the United States Navy. After his service he worked for Foster Forbes until his retirement in 1993. He was devoted father, grandfather and great grandfather who enjoyed sharing his love of learning. Kimsy was often found reading to his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his son Michael Coffman and wife Diane of Emory, TX, his daughter Donna Coffman Kruger of Waxahachie, TX, his grandchildren Megan Jordan Whitford and husband John of Waxahachie, TX, Raynie Jordan Hancock and husband Leslie of Franklin, TX, Madalyn Coffman of Galveston, TX, and Colton Coffman of Emory, TX, great grandchildren Will and Westin Whitford and Kayden and Kensley Hancock, brother Harry Coffman and wife Betty of St. Charles, MO and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Brothers John, Merryman, and Grady Coffman, Sister Irene Lloyd, grandsons Michael Boyd Coffman Jr., John Coffman Kruger, and Paydon Boyd Coffman. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, May 9, 2016 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home located at 1826 W. Hwy 287 Business in Waxahachie.
