Kevin Pitner

Kevin Wynn Pitner, age 59, departed from this world in his home on Saturday, December 9, 2017. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 1:00 PM at the Connect 4LIFE Church located at 1971 John Arden Drive in Waxahachie. Visitation with the family will be held on Friday evening, December 15, 2017 from 6-8 PM at Wayne Boze Funeral Home located at 1826 W. Highway 287 Business in Waxahachie.

Kevin was born in Overton, TX on August 5, 1958 to John Frank and Rae Yvonne (O'Neal) Pitner. He attended and graduated from Midlothian High School and married the love of his life, Judy Maxwell, on August 27th, 1977 in Ellis County. He worked as the Building Maintenance Supervisor for Dallas County and was deeply involved in the Jeffrey Morris Foundation. He loved his family, friends, the Dallas Cowboys though a little fed up with them, the Texas Rangers, the Texas Longhorns (because of his big brother), and hunting and fishing.

Kevin was preceded in death by his father, John Frank Pitner of Lindale, Texas and his Mother in-law, Lois Maxwell of Maypearl, TX.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Maxwell of Waxahachie, TX; son, Joshwa Pitner and his fiancé Julie Nicotra of Waxahachie, TX; daughter, Haley (Pitner) McCormick and husband Michael "Stumpy" of Midlothian, TX; mother, Rae Yvonne (O'Neal) Dunklin of Midlothian, TX; brothers, Kim Pitner and wife Cheryl of Waxahachie, TX, Kelly Pitner and wife Leisa of Midlothian, TX and Kane Pitner and wife Kristi of Brownsboro, TX; sister, Karan Fonville and husband Keith of Bullard, TX, and Rhonda Daggs and husband James; and his sister/cousin who was raised with him, Melody Evans and husband David; step-brothers, Gary, Larry, and Ricky Stokes, not to mention all of his Maxwell family, numerous cousins, nephews, nieces on both sides of the family, and a host of friends.

Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie is in charge of the arrangements.
