Kevin Ray Lindsey was born to Corry and Vickie Lindsey in Arlington, Texas on September 16, 1981. He passed away unexpectedly at his home in Midlothian, Texas on November 20, 2024 at the age of 43.
Kevin attended Midlothian High School where he graduated in 2000. After graduation, he continued his education by attending fire and paramedic school in order to pursue his dream of becoming a firefighter. In March 2004, he joined the Keller Fire Department where he served for over 10 years. While working for KFR, he also obtained his peace officer license, making him tri-certified as a firefighter, paramedic and police officer. He then joined Waxahachie Fire-Rescue in November 2014 where he obtained the rank of Pump Engineer in October 2022. Beginning in November 2011, he also worked for the Ovilla Fire Department where he obtained the rank of Assistant Fire Chief/Fire Marshal.
In 2008, he met the love of his life, Kylie Eason. Later, in 2010 they married on the beach in Mexico. They began building their family in June of 2012 when they welcomed their beautiful daughter, Karsyn Rae, into the world. They added a precious baby boy, Kallen Reid, to complete their family in May of 2014. Kevin loved nothing more than spending time with his family traveling to new places or just hanging out at home. His favorite roles as a dad included riding around in the jeep with the radio up while singing with Kallen and cheering along with Karsyn and the WGMS cheerleaders. As much as he enjoyed their time as a family he truly loved traveling, attending concerts and eating Mexican food with Kylie.
Along with Kylie, Karsyn and Kallen he is survived by his parents Corry and Vickie Lindsey, his brother Keith and wife Kristen and their children, Brayden (18) Emersyn (12) and Tucker (6), his sister Jenifer Sweeney and husband Lincoln and their children, Avery (13) and Logan (10). He is also survived by other extended family, numerous friends and his brothers in the fire service.
On November 26th, 2024 at 2pm we will celebrate Kevin’s life at the Waxahachie Civic Center. Following the celebration, we welcome you to stay and visit with the family for a short reception in the Crape Myrtle Room.
