Kenneth Wayne Massey, Sr., 51 of Red Oak, Texas passed away Sunday, March 18, 2012 in Dallas. He was born to Leroy & Peggy Johnson Massey on August 13, 1960 in Corsicana, Texas. Kenneth attended The Cowboy Church in Denton, Texas and was a member of the VICA Vocational Industrial Club of America. Kenneth taught school for many years in the Dallas ISD and in the Lancaster School Districts. He coached Little League Baseball and Football and was a volunteer fireman in Baxter, Texas. He will be dearly missed by his family, his students and all that knew and loved him. He is survived by his parents: Leroy and Peggy Massey of Athens, Texas; His wife: Nelda Massey of Red Oak, Texas;1 son: Kenneth Wayne Massey, Jr. of Red Oak, Texas; 1 Daughter & Son in Law: Anna Elaine and Matthew Carl Dobbs of Palmer, Texas; 2 Sisters: Barbara Thompson of Fort Worth, Texas and Mary Thomas of Waco, Texas; 3 Grandchildren: Seth Massey, Trent Massey and Mattison Dobbs; Several Nieces and nephews; Services to celebrate his life are scheduled for 10:00 AM Friday, March 23, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church in Red Oak, Texas with Pastor Allen Grant officiating. Interment will follow at the Red Oak Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie. Arrangements are under the direction of Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie.
