Mr. Hargett passed away at his Waxahachie residenceThursday, June 3, 2004.
He was born in Fort Worth, Texas to John Henry Hargett and Opal (Wallace) Hargett Lockett.
He entered the United States Navy in 1954, serving in the Korean Conflict. Mr. Hargett married Jeanne Jones on August 8, 1983 in Mansfield. He was a general contractor in the residential and commercial fields, retiring in 1998 from Circle H. Builders. He was an avid golfer and fisherman.

He is survived by his wife Jeanne (Jones) Hargett from Waxahachie; two sons, Michael Hargett of Austin, Texas, and Nathan King of Lake Worth, Texas. Also surviving is one sister, Jackie Martin of Arlington, Texas.

The family will receive friends and relatives Sunday , June 6, from 6 to 8 PM at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be Monday, June 7, at 10 AM in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial be sent to the Lupus Foundation.
