Mr. Kenneth Raymond Danford, 61 of Waxahachie passed away Sunday, August 2, 2009. He was born February 20, 1948 to Raymond W. and Letha Opal Danford in Corsicana. Ken was a strong family man, he lived for his two sons while playing various sports like little league baseball in Virginia and Texas. He was known for his sense of humor and that he could never meet a stranger. He loved his family dearly while the highlight was the birth of his grandson Aaron. Ken loved his country and served in the US Army during the Vietnam conflict receiving the Bronze Star and Purple Heart medals of honor.

Survivors are his loving wife, Pansy Danford, sons: Joe Danford of Dallas and Chet Danford and his wife Valerie of Waxahachie, grandchildren: Chase Horton and Aaron Danford, sister Kay Stuckly and her husband Preston of Georgetown, and numerous nieces and nephews. Ken was preceded in death by his parents.

A visitation was held Tuesday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. A graveside service was held today at 10:00 AM at Rosemont Cemetery. Under the direction of Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
