Kenneth Wayne Blalack, 56 of Waxahachie, passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at Baylor Medical Center of Dallas. He was born on February 27, 1952 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Ken loved being outside and enjoyed mowing on his John Deere tractor. He was very personable, liked everyone and never met a stranger. Ken was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in the Vietnam War. He worked at Rock Tenn in Waxahachie for 18 years. Ken loved his family and was very devoted to them. He will be missed by so many who knew him and loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sheila Blalack of Waxahachie; his daughter, Emily Blalack of Waxahachie; his father, Junior Buxton of Oklahoma; his brother, Donald Blalack of Oklahoma; and numerous other family members and a host of loving friends.
Services to celebrate his life are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 21, 2009 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Rev. Don C. Smith, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Red Oak Cemetery.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday, February 20, 2009 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
