Katie Euginia Hale, age 64

April 8, 2006

Katie Hale passed away Saturday evening at Charlton Methodist Hospital, Dallas.
She was born in Dallas, TX. to Luther Eugene and Mary Katie (Parker) Pemberton. Katie was raised in Dallas and attended schools there. She was a bookkeeper/receptionist for insurance companies, Exxon Customer Service and also managed "Kids Are People Too" at Bear Creek and Hampton Road. Katie loved to garden, enjoyed cooking and also sewed for her grandchildren. She was a loving mother and grandmother who understood discipline and practiced it. She attended the Waxahachie Bible Church and was of the Baptist faith.

Her survivors include: sons and daughters-in-law, Marvin Leonard and Marianne Williams of Red Oak, Mark Glen and Lea Anne Williams of Kemp, Matthew Eugene and Kellye Williams of Red Oak, Stephen Merrill and Hollie Williams of Saginaw, Jacob Asher and Georgia Hale of Ennis; daughter and son-in-law, Sandra Lynn and Jimmy Sterling of Kemp; brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Judy Pemberton of Crandall; sisters and brothers-in-law, Vickie and Richard Reites of Crandall, Lois Hamby of Forney, Linda Gilchrist of Shawnee, OK., Tina Jo and Tony Vance of Mabank; fifteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family will receive friends and relatives 6-8 PM Tuesday at the Red Oak Funeral Home. The Celebration of her Life will be 2 PM Wednesday, April 12, 2006 in the Red Oak Chapel with Pastor Bruce Zimmerman officiating. Pallbearers will be family members. Interment will follow in the Red Oak Cemetery.
