Kathleen Monson

Kathleen Selters Monson, 92, passed away Friday, September 29, 2017 in Waxahachie, Texas.
Kathleen was born on February 25, 1925 in Monte Vista, Colorado to Robert and Myrtle (Porter) Selters. She married John William Monson and together they had two sons. Kathleen was a teacher for over 28 years and taught elementary for the Florence School District. She attended the Colorado Women's College and the University of Colorado where she received her Bachelor's degree in teaching.

Kathleen was a member of ADK Organization for Women Educators. She was a 72 year member of P.E.O. She enjoyed sewing and quilting in her past time.

She is survived by her children, Bruce and his wife Kelly of Waxahachie, Texas, and Eric Monson of Houston, Texas. Sisters, Marjorie Logan of Pueblo, Colorado and Barbara Wood of Ft. Collins, Colorado; two grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at 1:00 PM at the Mountain View Cemetery in Pueblo Colorado.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the P.E.O.
