Kathleen Kay Michener passed away on October 14, 2005. She was born on June 17, 1945 in Ewing, Nebraska to Conrad Schaffer and Clara Elizabeth (Vanderschickt) Schaffer. She was married to William Michener on April 28, 1990. Mrs. Michener was an administrative assistant at Tyler Refrigeration. She attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in Waxahachie.

Mrs. Michener is survived by her husband Bill Michener of Red Oak; two daughters; Ami Decker of Southlake, Texas, Kaylene Clark of Frisco, Texas, three step daughters; Renee Michener of Milford, Texas, Ria Michener of Waxahachie, Texas and Raelee Parish also of Waxahachie, Texas. Also surviving is one brother; David Schaffer of Grand Island, Nebraska, and three sisters Rose Ann Grenier of Fremont, Nebraska, Fran Seymour of Clarkson, Nebraska and Alice Welty of Cairo, Nebraska; six grandchildren; Sydney and Hayley Clark, James Glenn, Rylan Michener, Colten Wells and Kirra Parrish.

Rosary is scheduled for 7PM Wednesday, October 19 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie. The Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, October 20, 2005 at 2:00 PM at St Joseph Catholic Church in Waxahachie with Father Michael Guadagnoli Celebrant. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Greyhound Unlimited, Schipper Ke Rescue or the local SPCA of Ellis County.
