Karen Sue Greene/Samouris passed away on May 24, 2006 in Corsicana, Texas after a short illness. Karen was born January 22, 1959 in Altus, Oklahoma to the late Thomas and Iva McElwee. She resided in the Dallas area for many years before moving to Corsicana, with her loving husband Jeffrey Samouris. She was the founder of Karené�'s Kittens and devoted herself unselfishly to the care of lost and abandoned animals. Though her passing has removed her from our midst, her love, spirit, and influence will abide in our hearts and her example will be with us forever. Karen is survived by her husband Jeffrey Samouris, her son Thomas and wife Anshula Greene, her unborn grandchild, and her daughter Erica Greene. She is also survived by two brothers, Joseph and Michael McElwee, and several loving nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Visitation will be held Saturday, May 27, 2006 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Red Oak Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, May 28, 2006 at the Red Oak Cemetery with a small reception to follow at Red Oak Funeral Home.
